The Clay County Arts Council is hosting their version of the “Antiques Roadshow” on November 19, 2016, from 4-8pm at the Methodist Family Life Center in Clay Center, Kansas. Two well-experienced appraisers and 4 historians will be providing their niche expertise in this event, including Art of Estates president and accredited appraiser Brady Dreasher.
Examples of categories the Arts Council event expects to cover will include the following: Clocks and Watches – Rugs and Textiles – Furniture – Musical Instruments – Glass and Pottery – Toys and Games – Paintings and Drawings – Guns, Archives and Militaria from all American and European Wars – Jewelry – Books and Photographs – Sports Memorabilia and Dolls.
The event is expected to bring in locals as well as visitors from Manhattan, Salina and maybe even southern Nebraska after local news and radio coverage on KCLY. An excellent opportunity to engage with a local, not for profit arts organization and gain insight into the values of personal property for welcomed attendees.
There is a $10 charge/per person at the door but no fee for the estimations of value after admittance is granted. All proceeds will benefit the Clay County Arts Council. If you need help hauling or moving larger items into the event, contact any Clay County Arts Council member or Randy Milligan (785-632-2460).
